Final Exam British Literature Assignment description

 

For a finale, let's get creative.  Please reflect on the readings, discussions, videos, and journals you have completed over the past few weeks/semester. NOW are there any of them you would re-write the ending, or create a whole  other sub story to???  Maybe you question how things ended or what happened to a character?  Well here is your chance for closure. You create the story.... 

 

Please choose one of the following creative writing options and go wild! Your creation must reflect the 5 C's of creative writing.

 

The five hierarchical characteristics of good writing, or the “5 Cs” of good academic writing, which includeClarity, Cogency,Conventionality, Completeness, and Concision.

 

The ORIGINAL creation should demonstrate your understanding of spoken and written English. (The work you  submit must be 100% of your own creation. )

 

Creative Writing Option1: Write a prologue or epilogue for one of the short stories or novels on the required reading list. Be sure to use the author's diction, style, and format. Use at least three language devices (imagery, tone, symbolism, personification, allusion, metaphor, irony, etc.). Include a paragraph analyzing your methodology. (min of 500 words) for prologue or epilogue and 500 word min for analysis statement)

 

Creative Writing Option2: Write two poems using the style of one or more of the poets on our reading list. Use at least two language devices (imagery, simile, tone, symbolism, personification, allusion, metaphor, repetition, irony) in each poem. After each poem, give the name of the poet from which you modeled your poem and a short statement analyzing your methodology.  (min of 20 lines per poem and 500 word analysis statement)

 

Format: Standard MLA
