Today we will:

1. Draft one Essay three  is due. Please make sure your draft two is ATTACHED to your wiki. I want to check out your BEAUTIFUL APA STYLE!! 

All drafts must be attached and in APA

Don't forget about the APA power point that can be found in last week's class plans.  ;)

2. Peer Review in class. REMEMBER track changes..... fun, fun, fun....

• Everyone please bring up Microsoft word on your screen. Please just minimize this screen, so you can return to it later.
• Let's do it my friends....track changes. TO turn this on in Micro-Soft word you press
• CONTROL, SHIFT, E. This will make a line appear at the left hand margin and your suggestions will be red or green.
• To turn this feature off you press the same keys.

3. Do you remember the steps....here they are again...just for a reminder.

• you will review each others paper in the same way we looked at the model paper.
• you will save your buddies paper to your jump drive
• then use track changes and carefully do the peer review...
• save your work as you go along
• then when you are done
• attach their review to YOUR page
• email them and let them know...."Hey dude your peer review is done...check it out."
• They will then go to your page and rinse and repeat....j/k
• they will save the document and begin the revision process.

GOT ALL THAT....well if you have questions....

4. Please break up into groups of three. Exchange emails. ( I would suggest to put your email address on your wiki page just incase your partner misplaces it. Use your islander email please...

• Follow the steps above and you will be fine.
• Take your time this is not a race and you will receive a grade for your peer review.
• I will be here if you need assistance or if you have any questions/ comments.

5. Please use your textbook for the revision worksheets.

6. If you would like we can do a model for draft two for the class. This might be helpful.

Remember... Don't forget the five steps that will aid in the revising and editing process.

Step one: Revise for UNITY.

Step two: Revise for adequate support.

Step three: Revise for coherence.

Step four: Revise for style.

Step five: Revise for technical errors.

7. Remember to check out class plans for TUES....We are going to discuss the Conference. I would like the whole class to participate.

8. Tues of next week  you second draft is due. You will need to make a hardcopy and have it ready to turn in to me. You are also still responsible for a peer review. Please make sure you draft is also posted for the second peer review.

9.  I would also suggest  you get a jump start on your reflective overview..

10. An attandance grade will now be taken everyday, but it will be taken at random times

HW: Work on your second draft.
